This wick trimmer set is perfect to keep your candle burning efficiently.  The first burn is the most important so I recommend you trim the wick to 5mm.  This will ensure a clean burn with no sooty residue around the jar.  You should then trim the wick after each burn. The safest way to extinguish a candle and avoiding any spray of wax is by using the candle snuffer.
